Your Plan for Voting In Person

Here is your plan for voting in person during the early voting period in Ann Arbor from October 26 to November 3, 2024:

Step 1: Check if you're registered

  • Visit mi.gov/vote to check if you are registered at your current Ann Arbor address.
    Only registered voters can vote at an Early Voting Center.

  • If not, register online (before 10/22/24)

  • Note: Even if you registered on campus (at a table on the Diag, for example) please verify that your registration was recorded accurately by visiting mi.gov/vote.

Step 2: Learn about your choices

  • Visit MIvoter.org. Enter your address and select “Endorsed Candidates” to get information about the Democratic candidates on your actual ballot. 

  • All candidates are endorsed by the College Democrats at the University of Michigan and the Washtenaw County Democratic Party.

Step 3: Find an Early Voting Center

Early Voting Centers will be open starting 10/26 through 11/3. 

  • Ann Arbor City Clerk at City Hall: 8 AM - 5 PM 

  • UMMA: 11 AM - 7 PM

  • Pierpont Commons/Duderstadt Center: 11 AM - 7 PM

  • Traverwood Library Branch: 11 AM - 7 PM

  • Malletts Creek Library Branch: 11 AM - 7 PM

  • Westgate Library Branch: 11 AM - 7 PM

  • NOTE: UMMA and Duderstadt locations will also have a pop-up clerk’s office. The Early Voting Centers and Clerk’s Offices are in separate rooms in the same building.

Step 4: Vote!

What to take with you:

  • Photo Identification such as your MCard (student ID), driver’s license, state ID, or passport

  • No ID? you can still vote by signing an affidavit affirming your identity.

After filling out your ballot at the Early Voting Center, you’ll feed it into a scanner to be counted. You cannot leave with your ballot and return later—it must be completed on-site.

Tell your friends how quick and easy it was for you to vote, and encourage them to do the same as soon as possible!
